I am a 23 year old part-time student, healthy living lover, cancer fighter, and cancer survivor. Just 3 years ago, I was living the normal college life as a division 1 lacrosse player – carb loading, lifting, conditioning, stressing, and never allowing my body to rest. After constant undiagnosable injuries, I had to quit the team. Within a few months, I was diagnosed with a very rare form of adolescent liver cancer – called Fibrolamellar. I was rushed into liver resection surgery for my 20 cm liver tumor to be removed. Suddenly, life had hit me hard and I was NOT happy. Without any known conventional medical treatment option, I had to look towards the ‘alternative’ treatments. I ended up taking an integrative approach to the diagnoses, and here I am, still standing.
I have developed a passion for learning more about living well, living clean, and listening to your body. This is NOT just a page for cancer fighters – these lifestyle changes are important for everyone and anyone. I will share my experience and knowledge about holistic wellness. This is my personal on-going journey of self love and self care.
